Adrienne Witol, Psy.D., R.Psych, NeuroPsychologist and Program Director.
Adrienne Witol became a Registered Psychologist in 1996; earning her doctorate in clinical psychology in 1994 and completing a 2 year fellowship at Virginia Medical School/Traumatic Brain Injury Model System. She takes care of the neuropsychological testing that happens at the Stollery and helps with debriefing results to families as well as translating what they mean in regards to learning at school. Carley Darroch joined the BrainWorks team in 2014. As both a parent and teacher, Carley has discovered many strategies to make mindfulness a daily practice for busy families. Through continued professional development and team collaboration, she develops and shares tools that help children and their families cope with the stress and lasting effects of trauma due to cancer treatment. Toby Scott, B.Ed., M.Ed., Assistive Technology Specialist.
Toby Scott is an assistive technology specialist & teacher. With her expertise and background in education, she works with students, teachers, and families to determine appropriate technology supports and implementation of those supports based on a students’ strengths, needs, and challenges. Elizabeth is a Canadian Certified Counsellor and a Certified Music Therapist. Elizabeth’s role on the Brainworks team is to counsel children and youth in their overall mental wellbeing which sets them up for better success at home and at school. Elizabeth also consults with parents so they too can better support their children. A large part of Elizabeth’s work is teaching about the signs and symptoms of anxiety, and teaching strategies to manage it. Another focus of Elizabeth’s work is helping kids learn about themselves so they can better navigate their relationships with their family members and peers.
